Workwell Nutrition (“Workwell Nutrition,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a nutrition education business operated by Allysa Solberg, RD, in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through workwellnutrition.co (the “Site”), why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
1. Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through the forms on this Site:
- Waitlist and contact form: your name, job title, company, work email, team size and any message you write.
- Discovery call requests: your name, work email, company, phone number (optional), and your preferred days, time of day and time zone.
- Newsletter and free guide sign-up: your work email address and whether you agreed to receive our emails.
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and font provider may automatically receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, as part of delivering the Site to you. We do not currently use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Please don’t share health information through this Site. Our forms are for business enquiries. Personal health questions are best discussed in a private consultation, where they are handled under the record-keeping and confidentiality standards that apply to Registered Dietitians.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and schedule a discovery call.
- To manage the waitlist and contact you about availability, proposals and onboarding.
- To send the free guide and our monthly email, only if you opted in.
- To run, secure and improve the Site.
- To meet our legal, accounting and professional obligations.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law requires or permits it.
3. Consent and email marketing
By submitting a form, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. We only send marketing emails if you tick the box agreeing to them. Every marketing email includes our contact details and an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need to do their job:
- Netlify: hosts the Site and processes form submissions.
- Google Fonts: delivers the Site’s typeface.
- [EMAIL PROVIDER, e.g. Google Workspace]: our business email.
- [NEWSLETTER PLATFORM, e.g. Mailchimp / Kit]: sends our newsletter.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
5. Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement or national security authorities. We choose providers that use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and waitlist information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage our business relationship, and generally no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. We keep newsletter subscriber information until you unsubscribe. Client business records are kept as long as required for legal, tax and professional purposes.
7. How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, secure service providers and limited access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada of any breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask to:
- See the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw your consent or have your information deleted, subject to any legal requirement to keep it.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
